Vertical-Horizontal Five-Axis Machining Center Series Supporting Five-Face Machining in a Single Setup

The Conprofe Vertical-Horizontal 5-Axis Machining Center MVH Series is a high-end CNC machine tool built for high configuration, high rigidity, high precision, and high stability. It is capable of completing milling, boring, drilling, reaming, thread milling, and tapping operations on any angle of a part’s five faces in a single setup.

01 High Configuration

The machining center supports flexible configuration of Conprofe’s proprietary intelligent Ultrasonic Machining Technology, Supercritical CO₂ Cryogenic Cooling Technology, and Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) Cooling Technology. These three core technologies can be used individually or in flexible combination to effectively improve machining efficiency, extend tool life, reduce workpiece burrs, and improve surface quality.

02 High Rigidity

The machine adopts a positive T-shaped integrated bed (with a stepped structure in the X-axis) and a frame-type column structure. The ball screws use a fixed-and-pre-tensioned configuration at both ends to ensure transmission rigidity. High-quality gray cast iron and a high-rigidity spindle are employed throughout.

03 High Precision

All axes use fully closed-loop control. The X/Y/Z axes achieve positioning accuracy of 8 μm and repeatability of 4 μm. The B/C axes achieve positioning accuracy of 8" and repeatability of 4". High-resolution, high-precision international-brand linear encoders are equipped, ensuring high accuracy on linear axes. Direct-drive technology with zero backlash and no mechanical transmission wear ensures high accuracy on rotary axes. A high-precision cooling system reduces thermal deformation and ensures consistent machining accuracy.

04 High Stability

Critical joint surfaces are precision scraped to ensure high and consistently stable geometric accuracy over time.

Multi-Scenario Applications

The Conprofe Vertical-Horizontal 5-Axis Machining Center series is particularly suitable for the rough and finish machining of complex-shaped parts such as casings, housings, and end covers. It can process a wide range of materials including aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, stainless steel, titanium alloys, and superalloys, meeting the high-quality machining requirements of complex components across multiple industries.

Typical Case Study — Tool Steel Diffuser Machining

For a tool steel diffuser with a complex structure and numerous machining features, the Vertical-Horizontal 5-Axis Machining Center, equipped with a high-power spindle, significantly improved material removal rate during rough machining, achieving a cutting depth of 25 mm in a single pass and a cutting width of 15 mm. After finish machining, the workpiece surface finish was excellent, tool life was effectively extended, and machining efficiency improved by 21%.
